TS11 Multi-Purpose Port Over 80% Complete, Open for Operation by Early July

The construction of the TS11 multi-purpose satellite port of Phnom Penh Autonomous Port is currently 85% completed and is scheduled to be operational in early July 2022.

The progress was updated by HE Sun Chanthol, Minister of Public Works and Transport, during a construction site inspection on 25 April.

HE Sun Chanthol said that the TS11 port is being built to support the development and sustainable growth of the business of the Phnom Penh Autonomous Port.

HE Sun Chantol continued that water transport is very vital and the ministry is actively promoting more water transport to reduce road accidents and land traffic congestion.

Besides, the Phnom Penh Autonomous Port and the ministry have also been working on the project to build seven satellite ports along Mekong River and Tonle Sap River.
