Upward trend of Smart Building Management System Usage in Cambodia Market

Smart construction management system such as the 3D Central Building Management System has gained popularity among construction project owners around the world in recent year, and this technology has been slowly emerging into the Cambodian market.

Taiwan’s Commerce Development Research Institute (CDRI), an institute funded by Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs, is planning to bring in these new technologies to the Cambodian market, along with other smart building materials.

The objective of entering the Cambodian market is to help modernize and upgrade the construction sector, amid the existing potential and gradual local growth, said a CDRI representative.

3D Central Building Management System is an engineering software that helps projects owner effectively and conveniently manage their project within a single system from designing stage, construction, and post-construction property management.

With the latest IoT technology, the system can create real-time 3D models simulating the activities infrastructure projects even before the project is completed. By doing so, the project owners can detect possible challenges and risks ahead of the launch of the property.

This new technology can also help analyze issues and designate property maintenance schedules, which is a cost-effective way of managing a property.

CDRI has partnered with a wide range of companies providing almost every kind of construction-related products and services, ranging from Smart Power Management Solution, Time-Lapse Monitoring Recording Solution, Fire Alarm System, Ventilation System, among others.

This project is a part of the Wow! Taiwan campaign, an overseas marketing program that is funded by CDRI. The mission is to assist Taiwan businesses in connection with international companies by promoting high-quality Taiwan products.

For this year, Wow! Taiwan is shifting its focus to the Cambodian market and is currently looking for local business partners. Those who are interested can contact the Marketing & Consumer Behavior Research Division at Tel: +855 77 811 168 or charlie.wu@m-telligent.com / alexchang@cdri.org.tw
