With three completed projects, Urban Village sold over 1,300 units amid the ongoing pandemic in Cambodia

Cambodia’s largest and multi-award-winning real estate developer from Hong Kong with over 20 awards from Asia, Europe and North America, Urban Hub Cambodia continues to lead the residential development sector in Cambodia despite the ongoing pandemic with over 1,300 units of its fourth project Urban Village Phase 2, sold in less than 2 years.

Urban Hub Cambodia is the most recognised developer in Cambodia with a good track record supported by many buyers and residents locally and regionally for its previously completed projects such as Urban Loft, Factory Phnom Penh, and Urban Village Phase 1.

According to Ms. Catherine Chan and Dr. Ben Li – the founders of Urban Village and Factory Phnom Penh –the company is now turning its main focus to the construction of its latest project, Urban Village Phase 2 which is Cambodia’s best-selling condominium after the official launch in early 2020.

Despite challenges stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic, Urban Village Phase 2 remains in high demand and its construction is on track with the developer vowing to deliver “dream homes” to its valued clients on schedule.

“COVID-19 has affected almost everyone across the world. However, what made us different and allowed us to continue our operations is that we were really quick to adapt to the ‘new normal’ across all departments, from operations to administration,” said Catherine.

“Many people would think that the global pandemic would slow down the sales, but in fact, quite the opposite is true. Urban Village Phase 2 has sold more than 80% of available units, while all our penthouses sold out within only two weeks after the official announcement of sales opening,” she added.

“We are one of the only a few companies that hire third party consulting firms to manage our projects, including Cole Atelier, Oliver Ho & Associates, Meinhardt, Buro Happold, CominKhmer and more,” Catherine said.

“We don’t want to just build a building, make a profit and then leave the country. We have a long-term goal, and we want to make sure our projects really benefit the people of Cambodia and help ease the rapidly rising demands of urbanisation,” Ben said.

Located in a prime location close to the city centre, embassy zone, and with two main entrances via Samdech Hun Sen Blvd and NR2, Urban Village is among the top choices of buyers and also the most stand out condo project in Phnom Penh.
