Expert Predicts Two High Potential Provinces for Resort Investment in 2021

A local real estate expert expects that Kompot and Kep will become high potential investment destinations, especially for resort development in 2021 or after the pandemic ends, as those provinces have been strongly attracting more and more local visitors.

Mr Sorn Seap,  Founder and Director of Key Real Estate Co., Ltd., told Construction & Property Magazine that Kampot and Kep are ideal for eco-tourism resorts given the hillside and coastal geography.

“Beside the favourable geography, many land plots are relatively large and price is very affordable. However, I do not recommend to buy land, wait, and sell for profit because the price will not go up much. Thus, developing the resort is the ideal investment,” said Mr Seap.

He added Kampot and Kep have always been popular tourist destinations for local people. After the construction of NR3 is complete, which should by the end of this year, the two provinces will attract even more tourists as the travel time there from Phnom Penh will be reduced by at least one hour.

In addition, the government has also been continuously improving the infrastructure of the two provinces. For example, an eight-road renovation project is currently ongoing in Kep. Meanwhile, the construction of NR3 is 90% complete and will be finished ahead of schedule by September 2021. (Read more and more)
