Gov’t Allows Weddings with Limitation of 200 Guests

The Cambodian government has decided to permit wedding ceremonies after an eight-month ban, but with the limitation of 200 guests.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction on 8 November 2021, Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia, said that the re-allowing of weddings ceremonies must be limited to only 200 guests, excluding service providers such waiters, chefs, and others.

“I confirmed this order yesterday. I think 200 guests not including service provider staff makes the most sense; otherwise, the wedding ceremony is not feasible,” said PM Hun Sen.

The government announced the full reopening of the country in all sectors under the new normal from 1 November onward, after the number of cases dropped and most citizens have been vaccinated.

With the reopening of the country, almost all businesses are allowed except KTVs and bars.
