Gov’t Approves Six Investment Projects Worth Over US$150m in PP, Kandal, Kampong Speu, Takeo & Sihanoukville Provinces

The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has approved private investments of more than US$152.6 million to establish five factories and a business center in Phnom Penh, Kandal, Kampong Speu, Takeo, and Sihanoukville.

According to the Prakas of the Council for the Development of Cambodia on 5 May 2022, there are six companies that the Cambodian Investment Committee of the Council for the Development of Cambodia has approved investments from, including:

1. RONG JIN C C CERAMIC CO., LTD. will establish a factory to produce tiles, located in O Trav village, Andong Thmor commune, Prey Nob district, Preah Sihanouk province, with an investment capital of approximately US$71.5 million.

2. ELITE SOLAR (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD. will establish a factory to produce and assemble solar panels, located at A10 & A12, National Road 4, Svay Chrum Village, Bek Chan Commune, Ang Snoul District, Kandal Province, with an investment capital of approximately US$47.2 million.

3. MAKRO (CAMBODIA) COMPANY LIMITED will set up its Business Centre Project, located in Bak Kheng Leu Village, Sangkat Bak Kheng, Khan Chroy Changva, Phnom Penh, with an investment capital of approximately US $12.7 million.

4. SHENG KA SHIN ELECTRONIC REBORN RESOURCE CO., LTD. will establish an electronic panel assembly plant located in Prey Kdoch village, Trapeang Kranh commune, Tram Kak district, Takeo province, with an investment capital of approximately US$9.6 million.

5. LHTL DECORATION (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD. will establish a factory to produce and assemble decorative lighting cables and artificial trees, located on National Road 4, Tep Phirum Village, Veal Pun Commune, Thpong District, Kampong Speu Province, with an investment capital of approximately US$6.2 million.

6. JBT TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD. will establish a factory to assemble and install colored lamps, located in Kob Kong village, Sangkat Choam Chao II, Khan Por Senchey, Phnom Penh, with an investment capital of approximately US$5.4 million.

According to the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), the above six projects can create up to 3,436 jobs for Cambodians.
