Maruhan Group inks construction deal with Lotte E & C

Japan-based entertainment conglomerate Maruhan Group has signed a contract with Lotte Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd (Lotte E & C) for the construction of Sathapana Bank Plc’s new head office.

On 29 August 2018, Maruhan Investment (Cambodia) Co., Ltd, subsidiary of Maruhan Group (owner of Sathapana Bank Plc) signed a contract agreement with Lotte E & C for the 22-storey, 103-metre high building located along Preah Norodom Boulevard, on the corner with Streets 172 and 174.

The new Sathapana Bank Plc’s head office covers an area of 35,135 square metres and is expected to cost around US$70 million. The new facility which started construction in May will be an international standard Grade A building and is expected to accommodate at least 1,200 employees.

According to Mr Han Chang Woo, Chairman of Maruhan Group, the new building will serve as a symbolic building equipped with modern and high-tech equipment.

Meanwhile, Mr Ha Suk Joo CEO of Lotte E & C said that his company will bring the latest technology to erect the building while noting that this project will be it’s first in Cambodia.
