Minister of Commerce Presides Over Ground-breaking of New Road in Kampong Cham

On Sunday 22 July,2018, H.E Pan Sorasak, Minister of Commerce presided over the ground breaking ceremony for the construction of a red gravel road in Kampong Cham Province.

The new gravel road connects three villages to the province and is 3.5km long, 6m wide with one box culvert and five drainage pipes.

Speaking during the ceremony, H.E Pan Sorasak said that “this new infrastructure is in line with the policy of commune / Sangkat development of the Royal Government which aims to improve the livelihoods of the local people.”

Meanwhile, the Royal Government of Cambodia has built around 40,000km of roads in rural area, 20,000km of national roads, 10,000 local education institutions, and more than 2,000 public health facilities. In addition, the Royal Government has connected electricity to more than 80 percent of all villages across the country.
