Minister of Public Works and Transport Urges More Women to Study Civil Engineering

The Minister of Public Works and Transport HE Sun Chanthol has urged more women to study civil engineering at the Techo Sen Institute of Public Works and Transport with 50% off for tuition fee, as demand for skilled engineers for infrastructure development in the kingdom is increasing.

During a study and career orientation program at the Techo Sen Institute of Public Works and Transport on 21 February, HE Sun Chanthol said that the 50% discount offer is to promote women empowerment, especially within the civil engineering and public works sectors.

“I want to see more women involved in infrastructure development. Not only men can build roads and bridges, but women also can. So, please come and study,” said HE Chanthol.

“The infrastructure development projects in Cambodia have been increasing rapidly, so we need more skilled and qualified engineers. After graduation, I hope that our students can build our bridges and roads, without relying on foreign experts,” he added.

The registration period for the Techo Sen Institute of Public Works and Transport will be from 21-28 February 2021.
