MWRM Joins Hands with JICA to Formulate NaSDeP

The Ministry of Water Resource and Meteorology (MWRM) in cooperation with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) held a kick-off meeting on the Project for Development of National Standard Design Documents for Irrigation and Drainage (NaSDeP).

According to the meeting on 27 May 2022, both parties have approved the work plan and agreed on the activity schedule for the first year of the project as the preparation stage for developing the national standard design documents for irrigation and drainage systems.

The project is now at the start of the information gathering and the field survey stage.

This national standard is expected to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of irrigation development, operation, and maintenance through the introduction of standard irrigation design, which will contribute to increasing agriculture productivity in Cambodia.
