NagaWorld Temporarily Suspends Operations after 11 Employees COVID-19 Positive

NagaCorp announced on Monday 01 March that the firm has voluntarily suspended operations after 11 of their staff tested positive for COVID-19.

According to the firm’s announcement, 3000 employees were tested by the Ministry of Health (MoH) on 27 February, and 11 were found positive.

The main objective of the suspension is in response to the recent surge in community transmission or known as the ‘20 February Incident’.

“This will also allow the firm to conduct a more thorough review of its precautionary and preventive measures already undertaken while running in parallel a wholesome cleansing of the entire property to further protect all of its employees and visitors alike”, read the statement.

The statement added that NagaCorp has thus far implemented adequate existing precautionary measures with a complete set of sanitisation processes. All employees and visitors of NagaWorld have mandatory mask wearing and are required to have their body temperatures checked before entering the property.

According to the announcement, NagaCorp plans to reopen its casino after completing some milestones of success in the fight and prevention of COVID-19 in careful consultancy with the Ministry of Health.

As of the morning of 02 March, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Cambodia is 844, with 24 new cases found on 01 March.
