New LMUPC Minister Urges Establishment of Job-Creation Factory in Run Ta Ek Natural Village

HE Say Sam Al, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Land Management, Urban Planning, and Construction, has called for the establishment of a factory within the Run Ta Ek Natural Village development area. This initiative, shared during his visit to inspect infrastructure progress in Siem Reap’s Banteay Srei district on 26 August 2023, seeks to provide employment opportunities and skills training to the local community.

HE Say Sam Al emphasized the need for the working group to identify suitable land for the factory setup and to organize skill training programs, enabling residents of the newly developed area to engage in diverse occupations and generate sustainable income sources. This effort aligns with the broader vision of empowering individuals within the community to pursue various avenues of business.

Moreover, the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning, and Construction, in collaboration with an inter-ministerial working group, will explore additional avenues, such as enabling residents to engage in upcoming airport-related activities and offering further opportunities for economic involvement.

Addressing the concerns of the community, HE Say Sam Al also tasked inter-ministerial experts to investigate and resolve issues related to flooding during the rainy season and water shortages in the dry season, ensuring the well-being and comfort of the local populace.
