Over 32K Land Titles Registered in Ratanakiri Province in the Past 5 Years

The land administration sub-sector in Ratanakiri province has achieved a significant milestone in the past five years, registering more than 32,000 plots through systematic land registration. According to Mr. Ly Usaphea, Director of the Department of Land Management, Urban Planning, Construction, and Cadastral Affairs of Ratanakkiri Province, the registration covers 23 villages in one city and two districts: Banlung, O’Yadao, and O’Chum.

Mr. Usaphea stated that as of the first quarter of 2023, indigenous communities have achieved 27 registrations, while 25 land concession companies have registered across the province, totaling more than 90,000 hectares or 338 titles.

He added that the province has received a total of 18,200 investment projects in the past five years, with 18,000 of them related to the cadastral sector and 170 projects in the construction sector.

He added that 95% of the land registration in Banlung has been completed and is scheduled to be completed by the end of April and will continue to Bor Keo district afterwards.

The completion of this process will have a positive impact on the socio-economic development of the province, as it will facilitate investment and promote transparency and accountability.

This achievement demonstrates the government’s commitment to improving land management and urban planning, creating a secure and transparent environment for investment, and promoting sustainable development.
