PM urges authorities to complete all land registration by 2023

Cambodia Prime Minister Samdech Hun Sen urged the relevant authorities to 100% complete the land registration by 2023, especially lands around the Tonle Sap lake.

PM Hun Sen said on 71 December the government has registered almost all the land plots nationwide with only a small amount remaining, but officers must accelerate the process.

Samdech Hun Sen continued that land registration is necessary as it is safe to occupy land to avoid further problems.

In 2022, the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction issued 315,441 land titles and distributed them to 264,804 people. (Read more)

The Ministry is also committed to finishing the land registration for people living alone Tonle Sap as soon as possible.

The Ministry will continue to update the maps of each province around the Tonle Sap Lake in accordance with the situation of the adjustment of the boundaries of Zone​ 2 and 3.

From the beginning of implementation until the end of November 2022, the government has adjusted boundary of over 24940 hectares in the Tonle Sap area and  provide them with 15,661 families.
