Phnom Penh, AIMF Sign Smart & Sustainable City Development Cooperation

Phnom Penh Capital Administration signed a partnership agreement with the Association Internationale des Maires Francophones (AIMF) on 23 May on ‘Emergency Response Planning, Disaster Response, Mud Management, Toilet Waste Management & Strategic Roadmap on Smart & Sustainable City.’

The signing ceremony was held on 23 May by HE Khuong Sreng, Governor of Phnom Penh, and the Permanent Secretary of the AIMF Pierre Baillet at Phnom Penh Capital Hall.

Under the partnership agreement, the AIMF will review ongoing projects, including the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a toilet waste treatment plant in Phnom Penh and in Siem Reap, and the construction of a community center in Phnom Penh as part of the financing project.

Phnom Penh became a member of the AIMF in 1990. (Read more)
