Sihanoukville Sees Investment Surge: State Incentives Revive Stalled Projects

Sihanoukville Province is rejuvenating its investment climate with special incentives for 269 stalled projects, totalling around USD 6.669 billion. This move is set to boost local business activities.

During their recent meeting on 25 February, the Investment Promotion Working Group announced additional incentives for 14 more projects this month, demonstrating their dedication to enhancing investment opportunities.

Among the newly incentivised projects, six are stalled buildings, while four involve new developments and expansions, representing a combined investment of USD 79 million and creating approximately 2,266 jobs.

The working group aims to monitor the progress of all 269 projects and facilitate practical incentives, including assistance with construction permits, enterprise registrations, and tourism and real estate licenses. Further support includes building access roads to project sites, enhancing the sewerage and wastewater treatment systems, and resolving disputes related to stalled buildings.

These strategic incentives reflect the government’s commitment to fostering a conducive environment for business growth and economic development in Sihanoukville.
