Kampot Tourism Port, in Collaboration with Virak Buntham, Launches High-Speed Boat Service in Cambodia

The Kampot International Tourist Port, operated by KITP Development Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of AZ Group, has partnered with Virak Buntham to offer high-speed boat services to neighboring countries. This partnership was formalized during a signing ceremony held on 6 January 2025.

According to Virak Buntham, the collaboration aims to attract 500,000 national and international tourists in 2025 and 1 million in 2026. This follows the launch of the Kampot International Port business, which has been in operation for some time.

The company emphasized that this cooperation is crucial for the transportation sector, particularly in facilitating travel for national and international tourists from Kampot to nearby islands and beyond. It is expected to become a significant economic driver for Cambodia.

Furthermore, this partnership will enhance the development and growth of the national economy by promoting hospitality services and inland passenger transport in Cambodia. Virak Buntham has already been operating high-speed boats to Koh Rong, Koh Rong Samloem, and Koh Sdach for nearly eight years.

The company is recognized as the first to provide modern passenger boat services from Kampot International Tourist Port to Koh Tral (Phu Quoc Island) in Vietnam, thereby strengthening its role in this industry. (Read more)
