Construction of 15ha ADB-funded standardized landfill in Pursat 98% complete

The construction of the standard solid waste management site in Pursat City is over 98% complete and is scheduled to be operational soon, according to the site by Pursat Governor HE Cheav Tay on Tuesday 28 December.

Among all construction works, the two main landfills are 100% complete, the administration building 100%, the wastewater treatment tank 100%, smell treatment plant 81%, entrance gate 50%, and garbage truck weighing station 44%.

Located in Tuol Makak village, Sangkat Roleap, Pursat city, the landfill project is funded by a concessional loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) of approximately US$1.6 million.

This project is being built by Ung Sim Sea Construction Company on an area of more than 15 hectares, which the construction started in April 2020.

During the inspection, HE Cheav Tay also urged the construction company to ensure the construction quality, while also speeding up progress so that it can be completed as scheduled.
