Century 21 to recruit 3,800 real estate agents

Century 21 Zillion Holding is recruiting 3,800 potential real estate agents in response to a strong increase in market demand amid Cambodia’s booming real estate sector.

The firm announced the recruitment drive during a training program they hosted for prospective real estate agents on 19 February at the Grand Phnom Penh Hotel.

According to Ms Grace Rachy Fong, CEO of Century 21 Cambodia, the recruitment of more real estate agents is needed to fulfil the ever-growing market demand.

“The real estate business in Cambodia is one of the high potential business in Cambodia. The demand for land has been increasing rapidly in all parts of the country due to the increase in investment both locally and internationally,” said Ms Fong.

“This growth requires Century 21 Zillion Holding, a US-based real estate company, to open an additional 38 branches (14 in Phnom Penh and 24 in other provinces). Therefore, we also need to recruit at least 3,800 more agents,” she said.

Ms Fong added that this is a rare opportunity for young graduates and freelancers in other fields to earn additional income, as well as broaden their network within the real estate sector, especially with the investors who have both financial resource and knowledge.

According to Ms Fong, there are currently a total of 180 real estate companies in Cambodia with nearly 1,000 agents, with Century 21 Cambodia accounting for a total of 500 agents which is still not enough to keep up with demand.

“This is the reason why we organised the training so that we can seek for potential candidates, as well as provide them with the basic guidelines to become a successful agent,” said Ms Fong.

800 participants joined the training which also featured a number of well-known speakers such as Khim Sokheng, motivational speaker and founder of the LSI, and CVEA President Chrek Soknim among others.
