Construction of US$2 million Kampong Speu Stadium to Start Sunday

Ground will officially be broken on construction of the US$2 million international standard stadium in Kampong Speu on 21 February under the presidency of National Assembly member for Kampong Speu province HE Hun Many.

Kampong Speu Governor HE Vy Samnang said that this weekend is the groundbreaking ceremony for the actual stadium. Meanwhile, the groundbreaking in 2019 was just for the entrance gate.

“Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the stadium construction will proceed smoothly and is expected to be completed as scheduled, as donors continue to provide assistance,” said HE Vy Samnang.

Located in Chabar Mon city, the project will be built on over 4 hectares of land under a US$2 million fund from the NagaWorld Foundation and is scheduled to be completed in time for the 2023 SEA Games.
