Plan to build National Assembly’s new admin building takes another step forward

Plan to construct a new US$25-million Vietnamese-funded National Assembly’s administration building proposed since 2017 has taken another step forward, as the government is now reviewing the contract between construction contractors, according to the General Secretariat of the National Assembly’s meeting yesterday.

The meeting was held between the General Secretariat of the National Assembly and the consultant firm Archetype (Cambodia) Ltd, where both parties jointly reviewed the draft contract for the construction contractors and other terms and conditions.

According to an official from the National Assembly, the building is expected to be an 11-storeys building. Nevertheless, the project is still in the process of quality and financial assessment.

In January this year, JEB Surveys and Engineering Co., Ltd did drill four holds to test the ground nearby by the parking lot of the National Assembly.
