Karaoke, Bars & Discotheque Businesses Allowed to Resume

The Phnom Penh Capital Administration has issued a new announcement allowing karaoke, bars and discotheque in Phnom Penh to resume their businesses from Tuesday 30 November onwards under the new normal practice.

This new announcement voids the previous announcement on Monday stating that the aforementioned are not allowed to open until 5 December.

Under this new decision, owners or managers of those businesses must assign staff to inspect vaccination cards and strictly implement health measures at the entrance of the venues.

In any case of violation, those businesses will have their licenses or permits revoked or face permanent complete closure, read the statement, adding that the offender will be subjected to legal charges.

The reopening of the entertainment service comes after the government announced the reopening and welcomed vaccinated foreign tourists in early November.
