New US$7-million Rehab Centre in SHV Inaugurated

General Ke Kim Yan, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the National Authority for Combating Drugs, inaugurated a new US$7-million National Center for the Treatment and Rehabilitation of Drug Addicts on Tuesday 22 March.

Located in Rithy 2 Village of Sihanoukville’s Stung Hav District, the large-scale centre covers an area of 20 hectares and has been under construction since 2017.

The project includes the construction of 21 buildings and other supporting infrastructures such as lighting, drainage system, and sports zone.

This centre was built with a budget of US$7 million, a mixture of the national budget, the National Anti-Drug Fund, local donors, the Samdech Krala Hom Fund, and aid from Thailand and Vietnam.
