Transforming Koh Tonsay: Tourism Port Reaches the Halfway Mark on the Road to Progress

The enchanting allure of Koh Tonsay Island, nestled more than 4 kilometers off the shores of Kep province, is on the brink of transformation. The construction of the much-anticipated tourist port on this pristine island has reached a significant milestone, with completion now standing at an impressive 50%, marking remarkable progress since the project commenced at the end of 2021.

Mr. Vao Sokha, Deputy Governor of Kep province, shared this exciting development on October 20, following a comprehensive inspection of the construction site. The project is in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Works and Transport and the dedicated officials of Kep province, who jointly assessed the progress of both the coastal road construction and the Koh Tonsay tourist port project.

“The Koh Tonsay Tourism Port is well on its way to completion, with the final touches expected by January 2024,” Mr. Vao Sokha enthusiastically announced.

This essential addition to Koh Tonsay’s infrastructure comes to fruition at an estimated cost of US$1.6 million, facilitated by a loan from the esteemed Asian Development Bank (ADB). (Read more)
