Grand Unveiling: Siha Hotel & Casino, Malaysia’s US$50m Marvel, Shines in Sihanoukville

On 3 December 2023, Siha Hotel and Casino, a lavish investment worth US$50 million nestled in Group 14, Village 1, Sangkat 3, Sihanoukville, was inaugurated by HE Kouch Chamroeun, Governor of Preah Sihanouk Province.

Expressing admiration for Malaysia’s significant investment in Sihanoukville’s hospitality sector, HE Kouch Chamroeun highlighted the strategic decision by Malaysian investors to channel US$50 million into the hotel and casino project. He noted that such foresight from the company’s management post-COVID-19 reflects confidence in the country’s potential for growth and prosperity.

As Cambodia’s tourism sector gears up for the Royal Government’s vision of enhancing tourism exchanges with China in 2024, the governor emphasized the promising signs observed at US and European tourist airports, witnessing approximately 4,000 tourists daily. This optimistic trend augurs well for Sihanoukville’s tourism landscape, prompting the need for diversified and enhanced tourism products, with a focus on outstanding hospitality and service.

Encouragingly, HE Kouch Chamroeun urged continuous investment in staff training to ensure a warm and hospitable reception for tourists. Acknowledging Sihanoukville’s status as a sought-after tourist destination, he stressed the importance of well-prepared staff capable of providing top-notch service.

HE Kouch Chamroeun expressed his hope that the exceptional offerings of Siha Hotel, including its Sky Bar, delectable culinary experiences, and various services, will serve as a key attraction, elevating the province’s competitiveness in drawing global tourists for the upcoming New Year festivities in Sihanoukville.
