The landmark groundbreaking for this distinguished building took place on 25 November 2018, and its completion on 28 October 2019, stands as a testament to the unwavering commitment of the Cambodian Veterans Association. The headquarters, valued at over US$1.2 million, is a striking embodiment of the rich Khmer architectural style, featuring a tiled roof spanning an impressive 37 metres in length and 27.5 metres in width. Comprising three floors and covering a total area of 2,391 square metres, the building hosts 17 rooms, including six for specialised committee chambers, the association’s secretariat, five for the deputy secretary general and a spacious meeting room for 44 people along with a lounge.

This architectural marvel, a gift from the Ministry of Defence of Vietnam and Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Chairman of the Supreme Advisor to the King of the Kingdom of Cambodia and former Prime Minister, symbolises the deep-rooted cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia. Beyond its physical presence, the new headquarters signifies a collective effort to fortify political security, national defence, and social stability, exemplifying the enduring bond between the governments, armed forces, and citizens of both nations.
