Cutting-Edge 3D Museum Coming to Siem Reap with French Technology

Immersive Angkor Legacy Co is set to revolutionize cultural experiences in Siem Reap with the introduction of state-of-the-art technology from France, bringing a 3D museum to life. The project, slated for opening in 2025, aims to immerse visitors in a digital realm of Cambodian heritage.

In a meeting between His Excellency Prak Sophoan, Governor of Siem Reap Province, and Mr. Ke Bin Sorasmey, President of Immersive Angkor Legacy Co on February 6, 2024, plans were outlined for the collaboration with a renowned French technology company to develop this innovative venture. The official project launch is scheduled for March 2025, as confirmed by Mr. Ke Bin Sorasmey.

Governor Prak Sophoan expressed full support for this substantial investment, expressing optimism that the project would materialize as envisioned, contributing to Siem Reap’s cultural landscape.

This significant development follows discussions initiated after the meeting between Mr. Geoffrey LADET, CEO of Puy Du Fou in Asia, and President Hun Manet in Paris, France, on January 15, 2024. During this meeting, the “Immersive Angkor” project was highlighted for its scientific approach, utilizing 3D Data Scanning to present and disseminate knowledge about Cambodian culture. The project aims to complement tourism offerings by providing an immersive cultural experience alongside traditional temple visits, as stated in the press release on January 16, 2024.

The President expressed enthusiastic support, emphasizing that “Immersive Angkor” would play a pivotal role in enhancing the understanding of Cambodian culture and civilization, particularly among the younger generation.
