SHV Province Enhances Safety with 433 Security Cameras Across 533 Strategic Locations

Preah Sihanouk province has successfully installed 433 new security cameras across key strategic locations in a major stride towards improving public safety.

This advanced surveillance network, which includes 533 monitoring points throughout Sihanoukville, was unveiled during a press conference led by HE Mang Sineth, Governor of Preah Sihanouk province, with over 60 journalists in attendance.

The initiative aims to create a safer environment for both citizens and the increasing number of national and international tourists visiting the province.

During the event, HE Mang Sineth emphasized the critical importance of this project for fostering security and trust in the region. “Our goal is to monitor activities closely and respond promptly to incidents,” he remarked, underlining the government’s proactive approach to safety.

Alongside the camera installations, the province has introduced a public hotline that enables residents and visitors to report issues directly to authorities, further enhancing their ability to respond quickly to emergencies.

The new security infrastructure aligns with Sihanoukville’s growing reputation as a prime destination for tourism and investment. As the province continues to develop, safety has become a top priority to ensure sustainable growth. HE Mang Sineth reiterated this vision: “We want to ensure that everyone feels safe and secure while enjoying our beautiful province.”

The surveillance system has been designed for crime prevention and to provide residents and tourists with greater peace of mind as they enjoy the province’s offerings.

This comprehensive safety initiative fortifies Sihanoukville’s communes, Sangkat areas, and villages under a robust security framework. As Preah Sihanouk province continues positioning itself as a leading investment and tourism hub, integrating cutting-edge technology into public safety measures showcases its commitment to ensuring a secure and welcoming environment for all.
