Sihanoukville Boosts Economic Growth with Special Incentives for 18 Projects

In a strategic move to enhance economic growth, the Investment Promotion Team in Sihanoukville has announced special incentives for a total of 18 stalled and new projects, amounting to an impressive USD 205 million. This initiative was shared on the team’s official Facebook page, signalling a robust commitment to revitalising the region’s economy.

Among the initiatives, five involve stalled buildings, while 13 are fresh development projects set to invigorate various sectors. These ventures are expected to generate nearly 2,916 jobs, spanning industries such as metal processing, waste recycling, paper production, real estate, hospitality, and media.

As of April 2025, the Investment Promotion Team has already approved principles for providing incentives to 287 projects, demonstrating a significant total investment capital of approximately USD 6.875 million. This expansive program is designed to foster investment in Preah Sihanouk Province, offering attractive incentives, concessions, and support for projects relating to both abandoned and new developments.

Whether individuals or legal entities initiate the projects, and regardless of their scale—small, medium, or large—this initiative promises to create a more dynamic business environment.
