Cambodia Welcomes 5 New Investment Projects Worth USD 46 Million

The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has announced the registration of five new investment projects with a total capital of approximately USD 46 million. These projects will be established across three provinces: Kandal, Preah Sihanouk, and Kampong Thom.

His Excellency Chea Vuthy, Secretary General of the Cambodia Investment Committee, highlighted that these initiatives are poised to create around 2,000 jobs, focusing primarily on the industrial sector. The projects encompass diverse manufacturing activities, including:

– Furniture production

– Lifting equipment manufacturing

– Production and repair of tools and secondary materials from metal and plastic

– Household appliances and decorative items made from both plastic and metal

– Sports equipment manufacturing

In addition, one agro-industrial project, a rice processing and fertilizer production plant, is also included in this investment round.

This announcement comes on the heels of a significant uptick in investment activity in Cambodia. In the first eight months of 2025, the CDC registered a total of 491 investment projects with a combined capital of approximately USD 7.2 billion. This marks an increase of 204 projects, a remarkable 71% rise, and an influx of roughly USD 2.5 billion, or about 50%, in investment compared to the same period in 2024. (Read more)
