Bentley Launches Berlin 3D Tour Ahead of Tech Summit

Bentley Systems has launched a highly detailed, Cesium-powered 3D tour of Berlin in anticipation of its largest-ever in-person technical learning event, the Bentley Tech Summit 2025, set to take place in the German capital from December 9-11.

The interactive, city-scale visualization invites users to explore Berlin’s iconic landmarks, celebrating the city’s history of engineering resilience and reinvention. The digital tour serves as more than just a preview; it positions Berlin itself as a “live training ground for smarter infrastructure.”

Bentley highlights the city’s ongoing digital transformation, where advanced modeling and modern energy systems are actively reshaping districts and transport networks. A key focus of the tour is the Siemensstadt Square redevelopment, an ambitious project utilizing digital twins to construct a city district twice—first in a shared 3D model, and then physically—with the goal of CO₂-neutral operation.

Users can digitally soar past major sites like the Brandenburg Gate, the East German–era TV Tower, the revitalized Potsdamer Platz, and the glass-roofed Hauptbahnhof (Berlin Central Station). The guide emphasizes how these structures represent the seamless dovetailing of old and new Berlin, showcasing state-of-the-art infrastructure.

The 3D tour is available to the public and is designed to immerse attendees and enthusiasts alike in the city’s vibrant, technologically advanced environment before the summit begins. (Click Here)
