Cambodia among the top 10 destinations for affordable five-star hotels in the world

Cambodia is among the top 10 destinations in the world for affordable five-star hotels and is the only country in Asia listed in the ranking, which is dominated mostly by European countries.

According to a study conducted by The Hotel Guru, European countries generally come out on top, with seven out of the top 10 destinations for affordable five-star hotels located in Europe. At the same time, the three exceptions are Colombia, Paraguay and Cambodia.

According to a study, Cambodia offers some of the cheapest and best five-star hotel experiences in the world.

To find out how affordable luxury accommodation is in 2020, The Hotel Guru worked out the average lowest price for a one-night stay at a five-star hotel across the 99 countries it analysed, while also taking into consideration how hotels were rated by customers.

According to data from the Ministry of Tourism, Cambodia has a total of 36 five-star hotels as of 2019, or equivalent to 8,042 rooms.

Among them, 22 five-star hotels are located in Siem Reap province, which is the most attractive tourist destination in the kingdom.
