Cambodia Exports Nearly 12 million Tons of Agricultural Products, Generating USD 5.2 Billion in 2024

In a significant boost for the agricultural sector, Cambodia reported impressive figures for 2024, with exports of nearly 12 million tons of farm products valued at USD 5.2 billion. This announcement was made by His Excellency Kong Chanveasna, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, during the inauguration ceremony of a new large-scale fertilizer production machine by Has Venture Cambodia.

At the April 29, 2025, event, His Excellency highlighted that the country’s total agricultural production reached approximately 40 million tons in 2024. The exported goods were sent to 95 different destinations around the globe, showcasing Cambodia’s growing influence in the agricultural market.

He further detailed that the country imported 960,000 tons of agricultural fertilizers and over 70,000 tons of agricultural chemicals to support local farmers. Currently, 16 companies operate in Cambodia’s fertilizer market, including Has Venture Cambodia, which can produce and supply approximately 50,000 tons of fertilizers annually.

Since its establishment in 2019, Has Venture Cambodia has been at the forefront of producing natural fertilizers while employing 45 residents. The company plans to enhance its production capacity by creating an additional 5,000 tons of fertilizers and is set to install a third production machine by the end of this year.

The Ministry of Agriculture emphasized that the inauguration of this production facility aligns with government efforts to ensure the availability of quality and affordable fertilizers and agricultural chemicals for farmers across the nation.

As Cambodia continues to make strides in agricultural exports, these developments signal a promising future for its economy and farmers.
