Cambodia to Establish Trade Center in Seoul to Boost Investment

Cambodia is poised to strengthen its economic ties with South Korea by establishing a private trade center in Seoul, as announced by the Ministry of Commerce. His Excellency Seang Thai, Secretary of State, shared that the ministry is currently inspecting potential locations for the new center.

The primary aim of this trade center is to showcase and promote a variety of Cambodian products while offering valuable information on trade opportunities, investment, tourism, and the rich cultural heritage of Cambodia. This initiative seeks to engage South Korean businessmen and investors, encouraging them to explore the vast opportunities that Cambodia presents.

Support for this endeavor has also been echoed by Mr. Lorn Saboeun Pheartheary, Counselor of the Cambodian Embassy in Korea, who highlighted its potential to boost bilateral trade and attract Korean investment into Cambodia. The establishment of this center is expected to pave the way for increased collaboration and prosperity between the two nations.

In addition to the Seoul trade center, the Cambodian Ministry of Commerce has ambitious plans to open private trade centers in key global markets, including London, New Delhi, Atsugi, and Macau. These centers aim to elevate Cambodia’s international profile, promote its products, and attract foreign investment, which is essential for the nation’s economic growth. (Read more, more, and more)
