European Snack Food Manufacturers Promote Modern Technology for Cambodian Products

In a significant move to enhance the processing of Cambodian products, three prominent European snack food manufacturers have expressed their commitment to introducing modern technology to the region. This initiative was discussed during a meeting on October 9, 2025, between His Excellency Samheng Bora, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Commerce and Head of the Export Promotion Working Group, and representatives from VacQPack, NCP GROUP, and Intersnack Nederland B.V.

During the meeting, His Excellency Bora emphasized the importance of leveraging modern technology to improve the processing and packaging of Cambodian goods, aiming to elevate their quality to meet international standards. This is part of a broader strategy to bolster the export potential of Cambodian products on the global market.

Intersnack Nederland B.V., a leading player in the European snack industry, highlighted its focus on identifying market opportunities for Cambodian cashew nuts and processed snacks. The company aims to facilitate direct exports and strengthen the supply chain for these products within Europe.

VacQPack, known for its innovative packaging solutions, specializes in modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) combined with air pumping technology to preserve the quality of various products, including grains. Meanwhile, NCP GROUP is dedicated to processing and packaging grains, particularly cashew nuts, specifically tailored for the European market.

This collaboration marks a promising step towards enhancing Cambodia’s agricultural exports and integrating them into the competitive European market.
