Exciting Prospects for Cambodian Agricultural Exports

 

In a significant development for Cambodia’s agricultural sector, Angkor International Airport Investment (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. (AIAI) has expressed a strong interest in investing in the export of Cambodian agricultural products to China and other international markets. This announcement was made during a productive meeting on 7 April 2025, between HE Minister Dith Tina and Mr. Lu Wei, President of AIAI.

The Chinese delegation conveyed their enthusiasm for promoting Cambodian agricultural goods, highlighting plans to facilitate air exports that would enhance accessibility to lucrative markets. Additionally, they proposed strategic guidelines aimed at bolstering the agricultural industry in Cambodia.

In response, Minister Dith Tina warmly welcomed the initiative and encouraged the delegation to focus on promoting and conducting thorough market research for high-quality luxury agricultural products. By targeting premium goods, the aim is to maximise profits for both farmers and businesses, ultimately benefiting the Cambodian economy.

In 2024, Cambodia made remarkable strides in its agricultural exports, earning 5.2 billion VND from nearly 12 million tons of products out of a total of approximately 40 million tons. This new partnership with AIAI could pave the way for even more growth and opportunities in the agricultural sector. (Read more)
