Japanese-funded surgery & maternity building in Kratie hospital officially inaugurated

The Ministry of Health on Monday inaugurated a new surgery and maternity building at the Kratie Provincial Referral Hospital constructed with the Japanese grant aid of US$900,000.

The inauguration ceremony was presided over by Minister of Health HE Mam Bunheng, Kratie Governor HE Va Than, and Japanese Ambassador to Cambodia HE Mikami Masahiro.

According to the fund owner, the Japanese Foundation for International Development/ Relief (FIDR), this building began construction in January this year and has just been completed recently.

The building has two floors and 19 rooms, which is adequate to provide medical services of pediatric surgery in Kratie Province as well as some other northeastern provinces.
