Kampong Speu Province Welcomes New Investment Projects Exceeding USD 11 Million

In a significant boost for local employment and economic development, Kampong Speu Provincial Authorities have announced the initiation of two major investment projects involving the establishment of a toy manufacturing factory and a fruit processing facility. With a combined investment exceeding USD 11 million, these projects have recently received approval from the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), marking a promising step for the province.

The first project, a toy manufacturing factory backed by ARTSIGHT (CAMBODIA) ENTERPRISES CO., LTD., is set to be established in Prey Sala Village, located in the Rolaing Kreul Commune of Samrong Tong District. This endeavor will require an investment of approximately USD 6 million and is projected to create 283 new jobs for locals.

The second project focuses on a fruit processing factory, which will be developed by BOEUNG KET PLANTING & INDUSTRIAL CO., LTD. Situated in Village 1, Treng Trayong Commune, Phnom Sruoch District, this facility will involve an investment of around USD 5.3 million and is expected to generate 567 job opportunities.

These developments are part of a broader trend in Kampong Speu Province. In the first eight months of 2025, the CDC registered a total of 491 investment projects, with an overall investment capital reaching approximately USD 7.2 billion. This marks a remarkable increase of 204 projects, or roughly 71%, alongside a capital growth of about USD 2.5 billion—an increase of nearly 50% compared to the same timeframe in 2024.

The successful registration of these investment projects highlights Kampong Speu’s growing attractiveness for investors and its commitment to fostering economic growth and job creation in the region. As these factories begin operations, they are expected to play a vital role in boosting local industry and enhancing the livelihoods of residents.
