Kep Becomes First province Achieving 100% Land Registration, Set to Distribute Remaining 10,000 Titles by Year-End

Kep province has become the first in Cambodia to complete 100% of its land registration, with authorities pledging to distribute the remaining 10,000 land titles by the end of 2024.

The Kep Provincial Department of Land Management, Urban Planning, Construction, and Cadastral Affairs, led by Director Soth Puthimanin, reported that over 50,000 land plots have been systematically registered across the province, with titles already issued to residents in 14 villages.

The remaining four villages, covering more than 10,000 plots, are scheduled to receive their titles within the year, as confirmed by the director.

The title deed, serving as legal proof of ownership, is protected by law and guaranteed by the state, ensuring the landholders’ rights and providing a legal reference in case of disputes.

This significant achievement marks a critical step in securing land ownership for the residents of Kep province, strengthening their legal rights and contributing to regional development.
