National Road 7 Expansion Project Progresses, Reaches 28.76% Completion

In a significant step towards enhancing Cambodia’s infrastructure, the ambitious project to restore and expand National Road No. 7 has reached an impressive 28.76% completion as of early January 2025. This major development was confirmed during a thorough inspection led by HE Lim Sidenin, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, along with the Technical Working Group and Construction Contractor (CRBC).

The ongoing project aims to widen the road to four lanes, stretching from the Skun roundabout to the base of the Kizuna Bridge. The inspection highlighted progress and addressed existing challenges to ensure timely advancement.

This initiative, launched in January 2023, has a total investment of USD 117 million, funded through a concessional loan from the Chinese government. The expansion project, which covers a length of 45.48 km, is designed to provide a paved surface (AC) and is slated for completion within 40 months, with an expected finish date set for 2026.
