Siem Reap River Improvement Project Phase 2 Nears Completion

The Siem Reap River Improvement Project Phase 2 is making significant strides, with the project now completed by 97%. On its official Facebook page, the Siem Reap Provincial Administration announced on 21 August 2025 that the project is on track for completion by 1 July 2025.

The ongoing work focuses on restoring the river and enhancing the surrounding environment. Notably, the river restoration has reached full completion, while the weir construction stands at 98% completion. The concrete bridge work, encompassing three locations, is at 97%, and the associated concrete road construction is nearly finished at 99%.

Initiated on 16 May 2022, the Siem Reap River Restoration Project Phase 2 has garnered support from Korea to implement four major components for environmental improvement along the river.
