Successful Completion of Land Survey in Oddar Meanchey Province

The Ministry of Land Management has proudly announced the successful completion of a systematic land survey in Oddar Meanchey province, marking a significant milestone in the region’s land management efforts. The closing ceremony was chaired by HE Say Samal, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning, and Construction.

During the ceremony, HE Say Samal expressed gratitude to the provincial administration and all officials involved in the land registration campaign. Their hard work has culminated in the issuance of property ownership certificates, which are critical for ensuring legal security in real estate ownership and fostering a dispute-free environment. He emphasised the positive impact of these efforts on national budget revenue and the provision of reliable services to citizens.

In his remarks, the Deputy Prime Minister urged local authorities and relevant departments to prioritize urban organisation and the review of geographical names and codes. This is vital for better addressing systems and boundary organisation across villages, communes, and provinces nationwide. He also reminded citizens to take proper care of the ownership certificates they received.

As part of the closing ceremony, HE Say Samal personally handed over 9,803 certificates of ownership to residents from three areas: Samrong city, Anlong Veng district, and Chong Kal district.

The Ministry of Land Management highlighted that Oddar Meanchey is the tenth province after nine provinces that have successfully completed systematic land surveys. Additionally, 15 other provinces and capitals are on track to finish similar efforts soon. (Read more)
