Takeo Province Attracts Nearly USD 100 Million in Investments, Job Opportunities on the Rise

Takeo Province has seen a significant influx of investment in the first half of 2025, as the region received nearly USD 100 million from 31 companies. This announcement was made by HE Wei Samnang, Governor of the Takeo Provincial Government, during a gathering with over 200 workers recently returned from Thailand. The meeting took place on August 6, 2025, at the Koh Andet District Hall.

Governor Wei reassured attendees that employment opportunities in the district are plentiful, citing the recent opening of six new factories in Koh Andet District alone, which are seeking to fill over 1,000 job vacancies.

In the first six months of this year, Takeo Province attracted 31 investors, contributing approximately $97 million in capital. These investments have generated nearly 20,000 jobs for local residents, and the Governor mentioned that additional companies are currently in the process of applying for further investment.

Currently, Takeo Province is home to 769 factories and enterprises, employing a total of 111,968 workers, with 79,610 of those being women. The province boasts a diverse industrial base, including 115 textile and garment factories, 455 non-garment factories and enterprises, 195 service factories, and four brick-making workshops.
