Svay Rieng Provincial Administration Builds Riverside to Enhance City Aesthetics

The Svay Rieng Provincial Administration is building a riverside on the Vaiko River to aesthetically enhance the city’s attractiveness to the people and tourists.

The provincial administration said on 15 June that it is building the second phase of the Vaikoo River riverside landscaping, while the first phase situated to the west of the river was put into use in April.

The source added that the riverbank landscape project is 967 metres long, and the construction team is currently preparing to fill the area with soil, located next to National Road No. 1.

The new riverside landscape will play an important role in promoting aesthetics, and social well-being by providing green space and a place for exercise, a boat race platform, and as a tourist destination for people to visit, he said.

On Wednesday Svay Rieng Governor HE Men Vibol led officials to inspect the construction progress of the riverside and other development projects.
