China Keen to Build Roads Throughout Sihanoukville Province

Chinese companies are interested in building roads throughout Sihanoukville Province, according to Sihanoukville provincial governor H.E Yun Min. In a phone interview with Construction&Property Magazine on 27 September, 2018, H.E Yun Min said that Chinese companies are interested in constructing and restoring roads throughout Sihanoukville and there were already six companies proposing to conduct feasibility studies.

Japan Funds Us$1 Million for Bayon Temple Restoration Project

On 25 September, 2018, Japan funded US$1 million through UNESCO to Cambodia for a restoration project of Bayon Temple inSiem Reap Province. According to a UNESCO Facebook post, the Royal Government of Cambodia, through the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with UNESCO on the restoration project of Bayon Temple under the support from Japanese Funds-in-Trust for the Preservation of the World Cultural Heritage.
