12 Cambodian nominees become ASEAN architects

The 12 nominees of the Cambodian Architects of Board of Architects Cambodia have been officially approved as ASEAN Architects, according to the official Facebook page of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction on 3 March 2020.

H.E Chea Sophara, Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, as the Chairman of the Council of Architects of Cambodia, and the Secretary-General of the Council of Architects of Cambodia attended the AAC Council Meeting in Vietnam. The successful nomination of the 12 Cambodian ASEAN Architects, adds to the previous four members to make a total of 16 Cambodian ASEAN Architects.

The ASEAN Architect program was created under the ASEAN Agreement on Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) on architecture and was signed by the ASEAN Economic Ministers on 20 November 2007. Currently, there are 575 registered members.
