The 8th PropertyGuru Cambodia Property Awards seek the Gold Standard of real estate amid recovering domestic market

LOCAL PROPERTY SEEKERS IN CAMBODIA POWER THE DEMAND FOR SPACIOUS HOMES

PHNOM PENH, Cambodia — PropertyGuru Group (NYSE: PGRU), Southeast Asia’s leading property technology company, today launched the 2023 edition of the PropertyGuru Cambodia Property Awards, beginning the search anew for the kingdom’s finest property developers, design practices, and projects: the Gold Standard of real estate.

The launch of the 8th PropertyGuru Cambodia Property Awards 2023 comes as residential property demand shifts from overseas to local buyers with high purchasing power.

Sorn Seap, chairperson of the independent panel of judges of the Awards in Cambodia, and president of the Cambodian Valuers and Estate Agents Association (CVEA), said: “The market is now heavily dependent on local demand so matching the development of new projects to the needs of local buyers is a wise decision. Not only is there a strong residential demand by local buyers, but they also prefer owning homes in boreys since they still desire landed property with gardens, easy parking lots, and high privacy.”

Sorn Seap today joined senior representatives of the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards as well as the programme’s official supervisor and award recipients in a roundtable with the media at Topaz Restaurant Norodom in the Cambodian capital.

The 8th PropertyGuru Cambodia Property Awards, supported by CBRE Cambodia, will have its annual black-tie gala dinner and ceremony on Friday, 18 August 2023 at the Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra, attended by senior leaders who are shaping the industry.

Key dates for the 2023 edition:
12 May 2023 – Entries Close

20 June 2023 – Final Judging
18 August 2023 – Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony in Phnom Penh, Cambodia

Through this international platform, more and more projects are becoming competitive in terms of architectural design, construction quality, and technology. Winning awards from the PropertyGuru Cambodia Property Awards will increase developers’ reputation and buyer confidence, provide them more credibility, and give them the chance to showcase their accomplishments and innovations not only in Cambodia but also the rest of Southeast Asia.”
