Gov’t Unlocks 639 Hectares of Prime Land in Stung Hav for Private Investment

Cambodia’s government has unveiled an ambitious plan to transform 639 hectares of pristine state-owned land in Tumnup Rolok commune, Stung Hav district, Preah Sihanouk province into a hub of commercial and service excellence. This strategic development initiative, outlined in Sub-Decree No. 137 issued on 23 June 2023, marks a significant step towards fostering private investment in the region’s burgeoning real estate sector.

The total land allocation encompasses 799 hectares, meticulously defined within the parameters of the Project UTM Zone 48N Datum WGA 1984 coordinate system. Of this extensive expanse, the allocation can be divided into two primary segments:

  1. State-Managed Land: A parcel spanning 159 hectares and 80 acres is entrusted to the stewardship of the Preah Sihanouk Provincial Administration. This segment holds great potential for government-backed developmental projects, ensuring a holistic approach to the region’s growth.
  2. Private Investment Hub: A substantial 639 hectares and 20 acres of this pristine land are designated for private ownership, a responsibility vested in C99 International Investment (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. This segment presents an array of exciting development opportunities, including the creation of modern hotels, upscale villas, sophisticated dining establishments, dynamic business centers, indispensable service areas, and expansive warehouses.

This grand vision is propelled by a collective effort led by key governmental figures, including the Minister in charge of the Office of the Council of Ministers, the Minister of Economy and Finance, the Minister of Land Management, Urban Planning, and Construction, the Minister of Interior, and the Minister responsible for the Ministry. Additionally, the heads of relevant institutions and the governors of the Sihanoukville Provincial Board of Governors are steadfastly committed to implementing this sub-decree.
