Gov’t Extends Property Tax Payment Deadline to 31 October to Boost Compliance

The General Department of Taxation has announced an extension of the property tax payment deadline for 2023. Originally set for 30 September 2023, property owners will now have until 31 October 2023, to fulfil their tax declarations without incurring administrative penalties for late submission.

The official announcement, made on 26 September 2023, reflects the government’s commitment to supporting taxpayers during these challenging times. By extending the property tax deadline, the authorities aim to encourage more property owners to come forward and fulfil their tax obligations promptly.

Property owners have several convenient options to meet their tax requirements. They can visit their respective provincial or Khan tax branches to make payments in person. Alternatively, they can opt for online payment via the “GDT Taxpayer App,” which is available for download from the App Store or Play Store. Furthermore, payments can be made at any bank branch affiliated with the General Department of Taxation.

The General Department of Taxation is committed to assisting property owners throughout this extended tax payment period. For additional information or assistance, property owners can reach out to the GDT Call Centre at 1277 or access the GDT Live Chat during regular business hours.
