The future of digital innovation in Cambodia has taken a resounding step forward with the approval of a groundbreaking project: the establishment of a cutting-edge data centre in the heart of Phnom Penh. The decision comes from the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) and promises to usher in a new era of technological advancement after the CDC approved the project on 18 October 2023.

This technological milestone unfolds under the banner of “TELCOTECH LTD.,” a forward-looking private company prepared to invest in the establishment and operation of this state-of-the-art data centre. Nestled within the modern and bustling Kampus Building on Monivong Blvd, in the bustling Sangkat Tonle Bassac, Khan Chamkarmon, Phnom Penh, this initiative signifies a significant leap in Cambodia’s technological prowess.

With a proposed investment of approximately US$27.7 million, the data centre is not merely a hub for digital information. It’s a beacon of progress, set to create 47 skilled jobs that will contribute to Cambodia’s growing digital economy.
